2.90 max. max. 30.0 max. Bal. max

SPECIFICATION: ASTM A532, Class III, Type A

TYPICAL MECHANICAL PROPERTIES: Annealed Hardened & Annealed
Tensile Strength, psi 80,000 120,000
Brinell Hardness 380 - 450 600-700

MICROSTRUCTURE:
28% CrFe (fully heat treated) consists of a highly alloyed primary carbide phase in a martensitic matrix. Secondary carbide precipitation is also prevalent throughout the martensitic matrix. In the annealed condition Ferrite and Pearlite constituents are found in the matrix.

Proprietary heat treatment procedures are used to develop the microstructural and mechanical properties.
