DIACRO XL is a high chromium iron with a chromium content that exceeds 35% combined with a low carbon content that promotes a eutectic carbide structure in a ferrite matrix.

MICROSTRUCTURE:
Eutectic carbide structure in a ferrite matrix.

APPLICATIONS:
Diacro XL is designed for the flue gas desulfurization (FGD) applications and the phosphoric acid fertilizer industry. It is engineered for improved intergranular corrosion resistance in applications with substantial amounts of chloride and fluoride ions in a slurry environment which accelerate corrosion at grain boundaries and ultimately "washes" away the matrix of the structure.
