Michael J. Leib, President of Hazleton Casting Company and Weatherly Casting & Machine Co. recently announced the appointment of Gerard E. Grega, Jr. to the position of sales engineer for both companies.
Mr. Leib stated, “We are pleased that Gerry had decided to join our staff. With his strong background in engineering, he will bring additional expertise to our companies for the mutual benefit of our customers and operating staff.”
Gerry is a 2004 graduate of the United States Naval Academy having achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering.
His most recent work experience was as a manger for UGI-ED and UGI Utilities Inc.
Hazleton Casting Company has purchased a new, ARL 3460 Advantage Metals Analyzer.

Thermo Scientific* ARL 3460 Metals Analyzer is an optical emission spectrometer, offering fast, accurate metals analysis for a variety of lab applications.
The new, vacuum spectrometer has state of the art quantitative analysis for all of the sophisticated alloys the company pours including a Nitrogen channel for Super Duplex stainless Steels. In addition, the ARL 3460 offers these additional features:

- Configured and calibrated to meet customer specific requirements

2011 Cookout Celebration
Restoration of the original foundry building has been completed and repairs have been made to furnace #2 at Weatherly Castng & Machine Co. and employees celebrated the milestone with a cookout on foundry grounds.
Fire damaged the furnace and original foundry building in February.
“Everyone has worked together to ensure that we met the needs of our clients while we restored our furnace and building,” said Michael Leib, president. “We are very proud of our employees and wanted to celebrate their dedication to the company and to our clients.”
