Ni-Hard 4

Material Specifications

Ni-Hard #4 is a eutectic alloy solidifying into two phases at a single temperature. Because of the physical characteristic and increased alloy content, a more random and dispersed carbide structure improves toughness over standard Ni-Hard #1 compositions.

MICROSTRUCTURE:
Diamite 4 (Ni-Hard #4) consists of a predominantly M7C3 primary carbide phase in a mostly martensitic matrix. Minor amounts of retained Austenite are also found in the matrix. Diamite 4 (Ni-Hard #4) is typically specified in the as-cast condition. Heat treatments can be applied for special applications.
