Weatherly Casting & Machine Company announces further capital improvements. WEATHERLY (PA), Thursday, March 18, 1999 - Weatherly Casting and Machine Company; a leading manufacturer of specialty alloy irons for the power generation, material handling, mining and pump industries; announced the purchase of additional capital equipment. Weatherly has purchased from International Molding Machine Company, La Grange Park, IL a 60" x 35" Mold Rollover. "The Mold Rollover will enable Weatherly to improve productivity on our automated molding line for improved delivery to our customers," stated President, Michael J. Leib. The rollover installation will be completed by mid July 1999. In addition, Weatherly will replace its spectrometer with a Spectro Model LAX-X8 Optical Emission Spectrometer for greater melt analysis accuracy with the wide range of alloying elements for the special alloys produced. The Spectro LAX-X8 will be Y2K compliant and will go hand in hand with the state of the art alloy development of Weatherly Casting and Machine Company. Weatherly is a highly versatile and fully integrated foundry and machine shop with unique abilities to solve the most difficult casting challenges in various iron alloys. Weatherly dates to 1900 and was one of the first foundries to pour abrasion resistant iron alloys. Weatherly's trademark, Diamite alloys are state of the art and used world wide to solve the most difficult material handling problems. With an on site pattern shop, machine shop, heat treat facility and modern casting operations, Weatherly will transform engineering drawings, data, or information into fully designed product to meet customer specifications.
