At Weatherly Casting and Machine Company, we recognize the importance of accurate and precise alloy compositions. Alloy composition is determined and controlled through the use of optical emission spectroscopy. Our SPECTROLAB Model LAX X8-WINDOWS spectrometer has 15 analytical channels and operates in a Microsoft Windows operating environment. Point and Click technology simplifies operation of this sophisticated instrument.

Meltdown chemistries are determined and automatically compared to stringent target compositions. Heat adjustments are immediately identified and alloy additions made. All melt chemistries are confirmed to specification prior to furnace tapping and mold pouring.
